Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Hair Tint.

A tint usually lasts four to eight weeks depending on hair porosity, color intensity, and aftercare. Use color-safe products, limit frequent washing, and avoid excessive heat to extend vibrancy. We recommend touch-ups every six to eight weeks for consistent results.

Tints can blend and soften the appearance of gray but may not fully cover very resistant gray hairs. For complete gray coverage, a permanent dye or targeted root color may be recommended after a consultation.

We recommend a strand test to preview color results, assess porosity, and ensure the chosen shade behaves as expected. A patch test for sensitivities is also advised for new clients or those with reactive skin.

A tint is ideal for subtle darkening or tone shifts but cannot significantly lift natural pigment. To lighten hair you may need a lightening service first; consult with us to choose the safest, most effective approach.

Use sulfate-free, color-safe shampoo and conditioner, wash with cooler water, and limit daily washing. Protect hair from UV and chlorine, use leave-in protectants, and deep-condition weekly to maintain color and shine longer.

Allergic reactions are uncommon but possible. We perform patch tests when necessary and review your allergy history. Avoid tint if you have open scalp wounds or certain sensitivities; our stylists will advise safe alternatives.
